COA is the short form of the course named computer on office automation. This is one of the skill developmentse to develop on skill on basic computer operations using the software like

- Open office presentation
- Open Office Draw
- Open Office Calc
- Open office Base etc.....,
This course is provided by many typewriting institutes and you can also learn from home and attend this examination as a private candidate that is your wish.

Qualification:
1. A pass in SSLC of Tamil Nadu State or Equivalent
Examination thereof.
and
A pass in Junior Grade Tu[ewrotomg Examination in English/Tamil of the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or equivalent Examination thereof.
(or)
2. A pass in Higher Grade Typewriting English/Tamil of the Department of Technical Education, Tamil Nadu or equivalent Examination on thereof.
B. TRAINING QUALIFICATION:
I. Candidate should have undergone a minimum of 120 hours of training in a recognized Typewriting Institute or Government / Government Aided / Self-finance Polytechnic Colleges.
II. Private candidates who have qualified and undergone a minimum of 120 hours of training in a private institute may also appear for the examination as Private Candidate.
III. All the candidates including Private Candidates should maintain a record note-book for the Practical Class attended by them as per the syllabus and submit the same at the time of their Practical Examination.
USES:
This course provides basic information for the candidates to develop their computer knowledge in this modern world. It is useful for the candidates to get a job from both Government sector and private sector like:
- TNPSC GROUP 4 EXAM
- TNEB TYPIST EXAM
- MADRAS HIGH COURT EXAMS
- TN DISTRICT COURT EXAMS
Scheme of Examination:
The examination will be conducted only at the selected Government Aided / Self-financing Polytechnic Colleges in Tamil Nadu. The Examination will consist of the following two papers.PAPERS EXAM DATE OF EXAM
PAPER 1 THEORY(2HRS) 04/01/20
PAPER 2 PRACTICAL (2HRS) 05/01/2020, 06/01/2020
CONCLUSION:
THIS EXAM WILL BE CONDUCTED BY TWICE A YEAR IN THE MONTH OF(DECEMBER AND JUNE )

TNDTE SHORT NAME OF Tamil Nadu Directorate Of Technical Education.
A candidate who qualify the minimum 45% in each theory and practical examination will be considered as pass and qualify to receive the certificate from TNDTE.
